By invitation only. A special evening with a set of Special Guests.
We are honored to have
Richard Lederer as our Special Guest!
He is a writer, broadcaster, and speaker and will offer a treasury of fascinating
facts about our American presidents: their feats, fates, families, foibles, and
firsts. Dr. Lederer is the author of more than 30 books about language, history,
and humor, including his best-selling Anguished English series and his current
book, Presidential Trivia. He has been profiled in magazines as diverse as
The New Yorker, People, and the National Enquirer and frequently appears
on radio as a commentator on language. He is a founding co-host of "A Way with Words"
on KPBS Radio.
Oscar Knight governed
the Kiwanis Clubs in the states of California, Nevada, and Hawaii leading our clubs
to new challenges in supporting our communities and growing our efforts to make
an impact on us all. He is a member

present a brief overview of the Kiwanis’ mission.
Come learn about our club while enjoying the words of Richard Lederer.
You’ll have fun learning a lot about our presidents’ lives, their accomplishments,
and the unique aspects of the 2008 presidential contest. This will be especially
interesting since it will be a day after the elections. Dr. Lederer
will be available for book signing prior to the start of our meeting.
Meeting starts promptly at 7PM. Registration, book-signing, and appetizers
will be available from 6:30Pm to 7:00PM. Please email member@kiwanisclubofscripps-miramesa.org
